I have leaned upon this verse and the surrounding verses many times when there has been a struggle with a family member or even someone in the church family.
So much practical wisdom.
Look to the LORD.
Wait for deliverance from God.
As we pray, rest in the promise He hears.
So often instead…
We focus on the problem as if the problem is too big for God.
We rush to correct others as if God is unaware THEY have a problem. (Because of course we never are. 😂)
We worry, fret and complain to others as if God has left off hearing prayers.
I know because I have been there and for a time, lived there. Not a happy place to sit for sure.
God’s way is so much better. Our God brings focus, the promise of deliverance, a listening ear and, most importantly, light. We may find ourselves sitting in darkness at times, but we certainly don’t have to stay in the dark.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1
